reading about perfume and perfume ingredients and perfumers is one of my very favorite things. the bottle and box for this new fragrance are spectacularly wonderful, and one of it’s notes is my beloved, imperious, uncontrite carnation–but it’s not sounding like it will become a classic. for some reason, the thinking for new perfumes and a younger buyer is that it has to be light and fruity and sweet. where are this generation’s Bellodgia, Cuir de Russie, Tabac Blond, Habanita, Bal a Versailles, Habit Rouge, Shalimar……….
